As John has noted...

While it is not the answer anyone wants most, we at Genii Software have a set of utilities in development that support much tighter integration between the productivity editors and Notes/Domino. Issues such as exporting from rich text to ODF and importing from ODF to rich text as well as tools such as those I showed at Lotusphere that allow easy creation/modification of a presentation or spreadsheet. If anybody is interested, I'll probably start a beta or our tools to work with the beta of Notes soon so that when Notes 8 is actually launched, the tools will be ready for launch as well.

If you are interested, watch my blog. The tools are collectively being called OpenSesame right now, although they may have more nuanced names later.
